Who we are

When we decided to start our business, there was much deliberation about what we should be called.  Some suggestions were ‘Hot from the Kiln’,  ‘Red Hot Pots’,  ‘Red Hot Stuff, and even ‘Compare the Raku.com’.
We really liked the last one, but thought it might be a bit risky with the popularity of a certain business with a similar sounding name. (Simples!)
After weeks of research we came across Decima, a Roman Goddess, considered to be one of the three fates, and revered as the Goddess of birth/new beginnings.  We felt that this summed us up perfectly, a new venture, a new beginning, a new start.
At Decima Designs we are committed to supplying quality, bespoke, hand-crafted items for the discerning buyer.  We work to commission, as well as selling through retail outlets and selling events.
  Our 10 week workshops in pottery,fused glass and leaded glass are run on a regular basis and are open to all levels.  We are fully qualified post-compulsory teachers and have taught many aspects of art & design over the years.
